Anastasia’s diverse experience allows her to approach her client’s family law issues with a holistic legal perspective in order to craft effective solutions for them.
Prior to joining Nathens Siegel LLP, Anastasia was an associate at a boutique family law firm in downtown Toronto. Anastasia has assisted her clients with every aspect of a family law dispute, ranging from negotiation to litigation. She has successfully appeared before the Superior Court of Justice on a motion where she secured a final order for sole custody of her client’s child. She completed her articles at one of Canada’s largest municipalities, assisting senior lawyers with complex litigation matters and policy development. She gained valuable insight in the enforcement of support orders in Ontario while summering at the Family Responsibility Office (FRO).
During law school at Queen’s University, Anastasia was a committed advocate to her Prison Law and Legal Aid clients. She represented them in matters before the Parole Board of Canada, Institutional Disciplinary Court and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. Anastasia was a group leader for a Pro-Bono project that produced legal education tools for prisoners. In her last year of law school, she volunteered at a busy immigration law practice, assisting a senior practitioner with legal aid files.
In her free time, Anastasia enjoys watching foreign films and reality T.V, cooking for her friends and family, reading biographies, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops.
